I got a ticket on I-5 for crossing a double line. I called JGR Law Firm, and the receptionist answered immediately. She was extremely nice and explained the protocol for getting the ticket reduced or dismissed and keeping it off my insurance. I gladly paid a very reasonable fee and then pretty much forgot about the ticket—until I got a call from Sheila letting me know that the ticket had been dismissed! My 17 year old daughter did her first long solo freeway drive from Vancouver Wa to Olympia. Well she got caught up in the flow of traffic and got pulled over doing 78 in a 70. This was her first ticket and her insurance company told her that her premiums would go up by about $160 a month!!! For 3 years!! So the fine for the ticket is 175$ but her insurance is going to charge her an additional $6000+ over 3 years. That's real money especially for someone working part time going to community college. I feel like the punishment does not fit the crime in this modern insurance driven world. I do not have any problem with punishment for breaking the law but there is an imbalance today. I can't believe where we are in this world that I ended up hiring Joseph to try to get her punishment changed to community service or a driver diversion course. I was pretty sure I was just burning money but today we found out that Joseph got the ticket dismissed. When my daughter found out she broke down in tears. I can't recommend Joseph enough and any chance I get I will tell my friends and family to weigh the financial impact of NOT hiring him.
